Spent a few days in LA last week—part work, part pleasure, as the best trips tend to be. There’s something about the sunshine there, the way it hits a weathered chair or dances across a hand-thrown ceramic, that makes me want to linger a little longer, rearrange a vignette, or mentally transport half of Galerie Half directly into my living room. LA, as always, was good to me—the pieces, the places, the people—a reminder that good design, much like a great outfit or a long lunch with an old friend, should feel effortless but never accidental, and this trip was the perfect blend of sourcing for projects, meeting new-to-me artists, and reconnecting with old friends.
